Unassuming dive bar that is all about their pizza. You can tell as there are pizza trays on each table ready to get it going. Tried the margherita, which was really more like a plain cheese pizza (fine by me). Crisp crust that is dry on the bottom makes this a very non-greasy pizza. Nice thin layer of flavorful sauce and cheese. Pizzas come in one size - 14” - that are sort of between a medium and large. Perfect amount for two people. While this pizza wasn’t anything too crazy, it’s one of the best “bar style” pizzas you’ll have. I’d take this over your typical SF thick overly cheesy slice any day. Looking forward to going back and getting it again.

This is a STRONG 3 star review. Really liked the light, thin crust. Very dry on the bottom, with just a hint of texture (might that be a fine dusting of cornmeal?). Get the margherita, it's the safe bet. Oh and also, this place has several bocce courts and a big outdoor area overlooking the bay, so stop second guessing and go.

Great old school East Coast pizza place. Loved the communal vibe - long picnic tables and fun atmosphere, complete with 80's video games. This is a very solid, classic, beach style pizza. Got a large cheese, really liked the sauce and cheese. Definitely nothing fancy, but that's what made it so good.

This slice shop just opened up near my house on Divis, in place of Acme Burgerhouse, across from Nopa. Ordered the usual, a single slice of cheese. The pizza came out and had me very nervous - it had all the characteristics of your typical below-average SF slice: way too doughy and way too much cheese. Why do SF places keep doing this? However I will say I was somewhat pleasantly surprised with the taste. The bottom of the crust had a little crisp to it, and the dough was much lighter and less dense than I expected. Bottom line, wasn't terrible (this might be the best 2 star pizza I've reviewed), but not sure why so many local slice shops keep making this brand of pizza (looking at you, Stelladoro, Nizario's, Cable Car, North Beach...). Bottom, bottom line - would go back again after several drinks, especially since they are open till 3am (!).

Pretty good pizza here at this Tomales Bay location. Of course you start with the oysters...but as far as the main courses go, the pizza is a pretty solid bet. Had the the prosciutto...really good crust and huge portion. Was enough for 2 people. Also loved the outdoor seating, fun and chill atmosphere. Another friend in our party ordered the pizza with spinach, garlic & bacon which she also liked. Oh, and the oysters were great!

Great stuff at this chill place in Santa Monica. Had the sausage...loved the cheese/sauce/crust ratio. Crust was the standout here...nice texture on the bottom, crispy on the outside, light on the inside. Nice slightly spicy sauce. Couldn't stop eating this one even after full, just too good. would definitely return.

Had high expectations for this Mario Batali restaurant in the West Village in NYC. Had the pepperoni. The cheese and sauce were ok, but it was very oily (almost wet on the bottom of the crust). The actual crust edges were probably the best part. Fun atmosphere though, still made for a fun night, just ok pizza.

Ordered this one for delivery late night at a friend's place in NYC. While nothing insanely good, this was classic, solid NY thin cheese pizza. Not too much sauce or cheese, the dough was a little on the undercooked side and a bit salty. Still, it def hit the spot, would get this again (esp. after many drinks).

Had a slice of the plain. Really interesting sourdough sheet style crust. Rectangular pieces. A little on the oily side, but in a good way. Sauce and cheese were fine, but it seems like this classic place is all about the crust. I guess that makes sense, since it's a bakery. PS - thanks Jenny for the surprise delivery of said slice!

Pretty much what I expected at this new slice shop on Divis. Got a slice of cheese. It's definitely heavy on the cheese and dough - which are pizza qualities I usually steer clear of. However, this pizza was pretty tasty. For a "bready" crust, it was cooked well. Very substantial and filling, 1 slice was enough. I probably won't rush back here, but will do for a quick, cheap meal when in the area.
