This has become my go-to frozen pizza. I like the options at Trader Joe's as they seem like a healthier option (well, as healthy as you can get for frozen pizza) than other grocery stores / brands. This is their combo pizza and if cooked right, the crust, toppings and cheese come out to perfection. Great mix of flavors. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a really good frozen pie.
Jay’n Bee Club (10 Aug)

Went in here with mixed expectations...on hand, I heard the pizza here is great...and then on the other hand, this is a bar first, and then pizza / restaurant 2nd. Jay'n Bee Club is clearly a bar...but it looks like they take pride in their pizza as at all the tables in the bar...they provide silverware, napkins and pizza condiments regardless if you order food or not. Got the margherita pizza. Crust cooked to perfection, decent sized pizza (could have had a larger pie), great crust and good cheese coverage. This will never be my go to pizza place...but if you want to hang with friends, have some great beers at a dive bar and have some amazing pie (especially since served at a dive bar), Jay'n Bee Club should be your next pizza / booze destination.

Tahoe isn't exactly known for it's pizza, but this is a nice option if you are looking for a good deal. The pizza was decent...but better than most of the pizza I've had in the N Lake Tahoe area. We got a cheese, a pepperoni and a veggie combo. The crust is thin and cooked perfectly...but the sauce and cheese leave you wanting more quality. the veggie however, was really good - great, fresh veggies and spread perfectly throughout the pie. We also got an order of chicken wings...which were the highlight of the order. They did not supply any ranch or blue cheese for the wings...which was odd and disappointing...but the wing sauce was great.

Went here waiting for friends in the Marina. Was hoping to find a "hole in the wall" pizza place and stumbled by Hole in the Wall serendipitous? The pizza was pretty much what I expected...good, not great. I got a large pepperoni slice. The slice had good cheese and decent sauce. Was perfect if you want a quick slice on the run. There isn't anywhere to sit in the place - hence the restaurants name. $3.25 a slice is a little steep for what you get, but it's a nice, quick slice option in the Marina.
Slice House ( 4 Jun)

I hate to do this (give 3 stars), cause I'm a huge fan of Tony's (the original in North Beach) fact, gave Tony's 5 stars. Slice House is a new spin off of Tony's down near the ball park. I ordered 2 slices of cheese. The slices were big, but the waiter brought 2 slices up - 1 on each plate...and the top plate was sitting on top of my other slice! That was obviously was a turn off, but as I said - I love Tony's, so I eat away. the crust was great and the sauce was good...the cheese however was burned. The slices were also super greasy. I will give it another try though as it just opened a couple months ago. I was also expecting a similar beer / tap list as Tony's...however, I was dead wrong. Only 1 IPA on tap and was Sierra Nevada Hop Harvest...decent for an it came out warm. I was hoping for more, but you can't get them all perfect Tony!
Sam's Place ( 6 Apr)

So we heard this is the best place in S Lake Tahoe...and the closet to where we stayed in Zephyr, there isn't a whole lotta options out there. We got delivery and didn't disappoint. Now I did only give it 3 stars, so wasn't amazing, but a solid pizza. Crust was a little doughy, but the toppings were great and lots of choices. Large pie's at a decent price. 3 large pie's filled up 10 guys for the night, so good deal.
Jersey Pizza (12 Mar)

Jersey Pizza is brought to you from the same peeps that brought you the great Salt House, Town Hall and Salt House. Seems like they are making a play for all the great real estate in SOMA...cause all of their restaurants are within 3 blocks of each other. Lucky for me, Jersey Pizza is right across the street from my think I'll be a regular here soon enough. They just opened last Tuesday so I'm sure still working out the kinks. I ordered the marinated baby beet salad for a starter - was awesome! Got a fresh squeezed lemonade as a drink and got the California Style margherita pizza as my main. The lemonade was sooo good, I normally don't order any drinks other than water and/or beer...but was at lunch and the lemonade looked good....and it was! The pizza to be honest was the thing I liked the least. Don't get me wrong, I thought the pizza was great, but the crust was a little doughy for the style pizza. The sauce was amazing and a really generous sized pizza. I couldn't finish my pizza, which I normally do...I think the thicker, doughier crust is the reason for not finishing the last 2 slices. I will definitely be coming back as I know they are brand new...might need some time to work things out. The beer list was HUGE and amazing - lots a great IPA's. The atmosphere was really cool as well...this is where Toaster Oven Sandwiches used to I think they did a great job of converting the place. PS - I heard form 2 other people that were there - the meatball sandwich is AMAZING!!!!!!

Have been wanting to go here for some time, as Avellino is a favorite pizza place of a couple friends. So finally went and was very happy to see it lived up to the hype. Amazing (HUGE) NY style slices. Got 2 slices of cheese, which normally is perfect for me...but I had to throw in the towel half way threw my second giant slice. Cheese was perfect as was the crust. The 2nd slice actually tasted better as had a few minutes to sit...which made a big difference. Note to patrons: they do not serve any drinks here at all - just water. But a liquor store is literally right next door and Avellino's has outdoor and indoor seating...both of which you are welcome to buy beer or drinks next door and eat at restaurant. Will def be coming back here. My new fav slice in the city!

ehhhh...I stopped here on way to SliceFinder meeting...I knew I wasn't going to get an amazing slice, but was hoping for more. The cheese was decent at best, too much of it. The crust was decent as well. Flavor = ok. But it was cheap and fast.
Primo Pizza (13 Nov)

We stopped in here from advice of Greg R (pizza connoisseur). When we walked in, we saw a slice for another patron and didn't expect much as it didn't look awesome. We were however, pleasantly surprised. The slice were huge and thick. I got 2 slice of the pepperoni, while Allyson got a slice of the ham and pineapple. The crust didn't look awesome, but was thick and cooked to perfection. Good sauce and the cheese was good - could be better - hence the 3 stars. But overall the experience was solid. There is lots of seating and clean tables and restaurant. They have a very large selection of pizza's, sandwiches and salads. The however, do not serve any beer or alcohol...def a negative. I would come back and eager to try their sandwiches.
