I was surprised at the service and quality of the pizza at North Beach Pizzeria. Real friendly staff, good crust, but the sauce was just ok. I would however recommend coming to North Beach Pizzeria with fr4iends or people from out of town as it is a good west coast pizzeria. Good local beers on tap as well

One time my cousin ordered a large pizza, light on cheese. What we received was some dough with tomato sauce and paid $30 for it. Fine, I'll take the blame for it, don't mess with a good thing. The next time I go in, I order a regular cheese pizza, and if I weren't drunk to the point of sharting myself, I probably would have thrown it out. Its not cable car pizza abysmal, but its not good, not good at all.

I don't get why NB Pizza has a good reputation. Granted, when you walk by it smells incredible, but when you taste the pizza you wonder if the great smell is coming from a neighboring restaurant. The sausage topping always tastes undercooked and the sauce isn't all that. Not a big fan, but is decent if you've had a couple beers.

They have an easy-to-use website to place delivery orders and they call you in 10min to confirm (PLUS!). But then you starve waiting for pizza because the delivery person must be riding the N Judah. So if you're craving pizza and are literally in the neighborhood to go get it, not a bad buy.

North Beach Pizza, ahh what to say. I live in North Beach, so I should love it right? Wrong. North Beach Pizza always smells incredible when walking by on a way to a local pub for a beer or whatever. Once inside though, the pizza is always disappointing. The sausage never seems to be fully cooked. The crust is too doughy. The cheese always falls off. They don;t sell slices. No hard alcohol. What do they have? Beer and a great location.

I remember thinking North Beach was pretty good when I first moved here, but I quickly came to realize that there are much better options. Just walk to Escape from NY!

This place must survive on reputation alone. Never had an above average pizza from here, then again, never hated it. Do you know anyone who actually swears by this place? Too many options to settle for this.
