wintergreenta has rated 32 pizzas:
I was expecting more from Irving Pizza as I've head good things. The dough was mediocre and the atmosphere was weak. There are so many good pizza places in San Francisco, but this is not one of them.
Village Pizzeria rules! This is my local spot and proud of it. Thin crust and the cheese makes this pizza. You have a full bar and great beers to choose from. This place has a great crowd and is usually full, but not packed on the weekends.
I walk by every day and every day there is no one in here. I now know why, the pizza sucks! You'd think that they would want to retain their customers as it is downtown and would be a great place to have lunch if the pizza was actually good, but it's not. Last week was my first and last time ere.
Wow - that's all I have to say. Great pizza and a cool staff to wait on you. This is one of the better pizza's I've had in San Francisco. Good location as it is downtown. Perfect for a quick lunch and great for going here after work with friends for some drinks and pizza.
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. A great location and simple, yet good pizza. It is a thin crust with good cheese. Really cheap to. Great for before, during and after partying in the Mission
Napoli's makes a decent pizza. Thin crust with tasty toppings. The location is perfect. If your on Polk and want to grab a quick slice, this is your place. This place has been a number of different pizza places in the last few years though. Maybe Nicks Crispy Taco's is taking all the business from the previous owners.
THICK! If there had to be one word to represent this pizza, Thick would be it. It would have to be thick as the name of the restaurant has Chicago in it. Old Chicago is great for large parties as it is a huge space and has multiple rooms. The exposed brick gives a warm feeling and the staff is great. They have a full bar and a great selection of beers. They also serve salads that are really good. I would recommend this place any day for anyone looking for deep dish pizza.
I really like Fly Bar and you wouldn't think of Fly as a place with good pizza or having pizza at all, but it is decent. Thin crust and decent sauce. You can;t get slices, but you can get mini pizzas. They have a great selection of beers and sangria, but no alcohol. Great location and there is a pool table. I recommend this place for people looking to get together for some drinks and you have the option of decent pizza.
Pauline's is a white table cloth, sit down pizza restaurant and is incredible! Think focaccia crust and the sauce and cheese is top quality. The wait staff is knowledgeable of their menu and great at pairing wines with you pizza. This is one of my favorite pizza restaurants on the west coast. Great for a date or with family. They have a full bar and lots of topping choices.
Not your typical pizza restaurant, but it is really good. This is a sit down restaurant. You can't get slices, but the pizzas are great. Thin crust and incredible sauce. The wait staff is really nice and the ambiance makes you feel at home. There is also a full bar.
