Pizzetta 211 (15 Jan)

Excellent personal sized gourmet pizza. Very small restaurant (like 3 tables), but we did carry out. The crust makes this pizza. Very thin, just a little crispy, but also a soft center. Also loved the tangy, slightly spicy sauce. Did the margherita - and would do the same next time. Great stuff.
Pungo Pizza (29 Dec)

Pleasantly surprised with this local spot. Had the pepperoni - great tasting sauce and cheese. Pepperoni was spicy as well. Only complaint was the crust was a little doughy/undercooked, but it didn't take away from the overall experience, and it might be what they're going for. Not too many great pizza spots around these parts from what I understand, so this place was a nice surprise.
Miss Tomato ( 7 Dec)

This place replaced Eataliano (or simply a name change). They serve very thin 9" personal pizzas. Had the plain cheese - at $2.50 this has to be the best pizza bargain in the Financial District. The pizza is pretty standard, by no means bad, a decent sauce, though the crust was a little under cooked. One thing you gotta like is they make each pizza as it's ordered, so you know it'll be fresh. All in all, you can't beat a $2.50 personal pizza! Will definitely be back.

**SPECIAL 100TH REVIEW SPECTACULAR** Finally tried the famous (and currently only) SF based pizza truck. Really good slices, had the margherita and the Zoe (pepperoni). Excellent thin, crisp crust. Very tasty sauce. More than enough fresh pepperoni - piled high! On the downside, overpriced ($4/slice), and for rather small pieces. Other than that, great stuff!

Really good thin crust pizza. Excellent cheese and sauce combo. The one drawback is I found the crust a bit too dense/chewy. All in all a good pizza, and they just started delivering which I will definitely be utilizing in the future.
Bar Bocce (27 Sep)

Fun outdoor spot looking over the bay, complete with a bocce court (surprisingly only 1). Had "The Classic" Margherita. Excellent crust - very thin, crispy on the outside, soft inside. The sauce was quite bland, but the crust made up for it. A solid pizza.
Credo (16 Sep)

Very good (and large) pizza at this bright and lively financial district restaurant. Had the Pizza Rustica, with sausage, roasted red peppers, and caramelized onions. Very tasty, slightly sweet and smoky. Extremely thin, almost cracker crust, great for folding. One pizza could almost be enough for two people if you add an appetizer or two. Would get this one again.
Chow (27 Aug)

A fun restaurant with average to below average pizza. Sat in the open air backyard with a big group for a later night semi-drunken dinner. Cheese slides right off the sauce, which had very little flavor or tangyness. This is probably a 2 star pizza, but the restaurant vibe bumps it up to 3. Still, would I get it again if I was as drunk or drunker? Maybe.

Sat at the bar and had lunch at this chill spot in downtown Occidental. Tried three pizzas: pepperoni, BBQ chicken, and plain cheese. A little too doughy for my tastes, and the cheese separates too easily from the sauce and crust. The BBQ chicken had lots of flavor (mozzerella, bbq sauce, red onion & arugula) and was easily the best. Not great, but still, a solid pizza.
Starbelly (26 Jul)

Very fun newish restaurant on the edges of The Castro. Not just pizza, however it appears to be their specialty. Gourmet thin crust (surprise!), featuring an excellent margherita with fresh mozzarella and basil. Also tried the bacon with jalapeno - very good as well. You'll probably have to wait for a table, but it's well worth it!
