Cafe Bernardo (21 Mar)

I was surprised - the pizza wasn't half bad. A little greasy, but the crust, sauce and cheese really made the pizza. Small pizza for 1 person, you could easily eat 2. I really liked the atmosphere at this bar / restaurant. You could get you own room stocked with couches, a table and a TV. Was a great find.
Olive (14 Feb)

This is a great place tucked away in the seedy Tenderloin district. Great place for happy hour and to get stabbed on the way in and/or out. Once inside though, they have a great happy hour for drinks and of course pizza! $5 pizza's. Great thin crust, with a great selection of toppings. They only serve whole pizza's, but they are relatively small. Good place to go prior to the night out on the town.
Marcello's Pizza ( 1 Feb)

This is a great on the go pizza. Sell large slices. Great sauce and dough. I love the crust. Thin crust, a little doughy and filling. 1 slice believe it or not can do the job. Small pizza joint - not good for large groups. Highly recommend Marcello's

This place is a little out of the way, but worth it. Cool atmosphere and bar. And the owner of this place, none other than the famous Franz...used to own the Curve Bar (now O'Reilly's by AT&T Park) and Plouf in Beldon Alley. The wine selection is broad and all (that I tried) were great. Now comes the best - the pizza! Great selection of pie's to choose from. We got the Pep / Sausage and spicy chicken. Both excellent. Great crust (thin) and the toppings were fresh and it shined through int he taste. I highly recco this place to anyone in this hood (good for after work and large groups).

Being Trader Joe's and the cornmeal crust, I wasn't sure what to expect. But waiting 15 minutes for this fine pizza to cook was well worth it. The crust is awesome and the cheese makes this pizza. Lots of flavor and quite filling. This is my new go-to cook at home pizza!
Zero Zero (14 Jan)

Wow! Just awesome. Yes, it's part of the gourmet pizza revolution in SF, but still - it's worth it. Had the Margherita pizza and the Townsend (roasted garlic, mozzarella and more) and they were both Amazing! The place is great, huge (2 levels) and a full bar. Even have wine on tap,appealing...maybe. I highly recco this place to anyone who likes pizza. Great for dates, work lunches and large parties.

I choose the 4 cheese pizza. Bake for about 20 - 35 mins for a crisp, delicious crust. The cheese melts perfectly into the dough and the sauce is lacking, but great. This is a great snack one at a time or a good meal when both taken down.
Pi Bar (18 Aug)
  • Currently 5.0/5 Stars.
Do you like the Pi? I Love the Pi!! Excellent pizza and beer selection. Thin crust pizza, incredible sauce and crust. We just got a cheese pizza and was the perfect choice. Perfectly spread out cheese - no bare spots - and the flavor of the sauce mixed with the cheese was divine. Great tap selection from Belgian beers to great Norcal IPA's and local breweries. A couple blocks from the 24th St BART and lots of cool bars to go to afterwards.

Decent. I didn't expect much flavor or fulfillment from the pizza by the look and size of it. The crust was good, but a little chewy. The cheese really held together well, but lacked flavor. This is a great frozen pizza for when your senses have ceased working.
