Decent at best. We stopped here on way to Santa Barbara but should have kept driving. The pizza was a thicker crust even though they said thin crust. The cheese all came off with 1 bite. The pepperoni was really good but wouldn't come back. You also have to order at counter they give you a number and they "serve" you.

From the man, the myth, the legend who brought you Tony's Pizzeria in North Beach...has done it again! This time with a new twist: Chicago style pizza. So 3 choices on most pizza's between: deep dish, pan crust and thin crust. We got the Deep Dish and loved it! I'm not normally a huge fan of deep dish, but Tony is the master and has crafted some wonderful deep dish pie's. The bar is really cool - they coin it as a whiskey bar. Great decor inside, but is small. So expect a wait during peak hours. We sat at the bar and had a blast. Great pizza, drinks and staff. We will definitely be going back once have the craving for deep dish again.

We came here right from the airport to meet some friends, grab a drink and something to eat. Of course I opted for the margherita pizza. These are small pizzas, not meant to be shared...or if you do shared, but sure and get a few of them. The pizza was decent. Not enough mozz cheese, but the crust was excellent. The sauce didn't have a lot of flavor. However, what the pizza lacked in flavor, the restaurant made up for in style. Huge cool dining area. Also, outdoor seating with fire pits. Really fun.

Love at first bite! Now I was going to give this place 4 stars as opposed to 5, but after thinking about Ragazza and the experience, I gave it 5 stars. The crust - my god the crust! This is what sold me for the extra star. So needless to say, the crust is amazing - not sure if they put extra butter or what in there, but sooo good. the cheese and sauce we perfect and as a whole, a perfect pie! The atmosphere is really cool too. Cool interior, and then they have a large deck out back with heat lamps. We got service outside and was just amazing. Definitely going back soon and can;t wait to try other pie's here.

Really good. Not your typical pizza. More like a flat bread crust, but perfectly cooked, great sauce and toppings. Great place for lunch. Be aware that the pizzas are small; one is good for 1 person.

Now we've heard a lot about this place so we thought we'd give it a try and were excited to go. We went at lunch time and eas to get a table. The atmosphere is cool - awesome chandeliers and tables. The pizza left something to be desired. We got the margherita and the breakfast pizza (eggs and bacon on top of pizza. Was good and the crust was great but I've had much better margherita. Good service and selection but was longing for more. Glad I went but won't go again if looking for awesome pizza.

Wow - what can I say - I was expecting something totally different. I have heard a lot of people saying how good this place is, but nothing specific. So we walk in...does NOT look like a restaurant, more like a minimalist art gallery. Stark white walls, 30 foot ceilings, stone pizza over in the back middle of room and right in middle of room is a stand where a lone pizza chef rolls the dough, and has the 7 pizza ingredients where he makes pizza as ordered. On the left half of room - a handful of tables, on the right hand side NOTHING. And to top it off, on the stark white walls are only 4 very small pictures. The menu, only has a few selections - no salads, no apps, nothing buy 5 different types of pizzas and beer and wine. VERY limited selection. So we sit and order the margherita pizza and watch him make it. It was good, but the dough left a lot to be desired. A little too doughy. the sauce and the cheese was amazing. I would recco this place, but I wouldn't go here again...out of the way and it seems like its more of a 1 time deal.

I didn't know what to expect as this is a chain, but I was pleasantly surprised. We got the sausage, red pepper pizza. Perfect thin crust, excellent sausage and the peppers were really good. I liked the sauce and cheese. I would have liked bigger pizzas, but this was for happy hour so might have been smaller. The atmosphere is cool too. Outdoor seating, great views of the Bay and Bay Bridge. Great for groups and a full bar.

I was here for our annual Musky Marauder fishing trip. We come to the Black Oak every year for drinks after a long day of fishing. This however is the first time I tried the pizza. I gave it 2 stars as I really didn't expect the food / pizza to be amazing...which it wasn't...but it was about as good as i thought it might be. Thin crust, small pizza's and the pizza slices were cut into squares and not "slices". I was fine with that, but the cheese and sauce left a lot to be desired...however, the crust was really good. I'd stick to the beers at the Black Oak - fun place - food just leaves a little to be desired.

I went here after work for a couple beers, but walked out trying a new pizza - of which I didn't even know they served pizza. They only have a small margherita pizza and it wasn't terrible. When I say small, I mean serves 1 person and not even close to filling you up. Decent cheese and sauce at best. I would stick to the sandwiches there if you go.
