Mythic Pizza ( 6 Jan)

If you are in the mood for a quick, cheap slice...this is an option...not a great option...but an option. Decent at best...but again, cheap and fast. Got 1 slice of cheese and 1 slice of pepperoni. The cheese was good, not great and sauce the same. The crust was a little doughy.

If I could only write one word to describe this pizza it would be: FRESH! This place is brand new and owned by an Italian couple. They are super nice and engage in conversations with the patrons to see how they liked the food and they take great pride in their food. All the crust and ingredients are super fresh, organic and made to order. Got a pepperoni and a cheese slice. The pepperoni was good, nit amazing...but the cheese slice was perfect! The crust - cooked to perfection...sooooo good. And the cheese was fabulous. They also make fresh pasta...I'm really looking forward to going back and trying more of their food.
Pizza Rock ( 3 Dec)

From the man, the myth, the Legend - Tony Gemignani (Tony's Pizzeria in North Beach). This is his Sacramento pizza shop. We knew this was going to be good as Tony's is our favorite pizza place in the US. The Sacramento branch is HUGE! Looks like an old theatre - tall ceiling, there is a stage for bands...full bar. The great thing about Pizza Rock is the menu. If you go to any of Tony's other restaurants, the menu is limited and seems to be special for that location. Pizza Rock however seems to have all the menu's combined into 1...so you can get any pizza, pasta, salad, calzone, sandwich and/or burger they have form any of their other places. The pizza, as expected, was perfect! Perfect crust and fresh ingredients. Great tap selection as well. Pizza Rock is a must if you are in the SacTown area. Pizza on!
Base Camp Pizza (30 Nov)

After doing extensive research on the best pizza in S Lake...this rose to the top from what others have said. So we had to try. Upon arriving the first day (at 2:30pm mind you), we were told there was a 2 and a half hour wait to get 2 seats!!!! So we wondered elsewhere...but came back the next day 15 minutes after it opened (opens at 11:30am) and there was still a 25 minute wait! We however, got lucky as 2 people were just leaving the bar...so we got a seat and settled in for what we heard was the most amazing pizza in Tahoe. We got the 4 cheese pizza and the Big Mountain Pizza (basically an everything pizza). The pizza's were a great size...but we were under-whelmed. The crust was good, but not great. A little cardboardy...(tasted like the Totino's Frozen Pizza crust - so...do the math). The toppings on the Big Mountain pizza were really good. But over all, only gave a 3 as thought was decent...especially after all the hype. We will have to try another time to see if still not up to par....maybe they had an off day?

Got this for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! This is new (at least to me) from Safeway. The reason I picked it out is due to the box saying: No artificial ingredients and no preservatives. Usually, especially at Safeway, there are a ton of added stuff that is not necessary and only bad for you. This one was a pleasant change as was think crust - the crust and cheese were very good, and the pizza was filling. Definitely going to get this one again.

Wow - wasn't sure what to expect coming in. We came for a beer and a quick bite...but ended up loving it! Perfectly made slices. We got a classic cheese and a combo. The cheese and crust were cooked to perfection. The ingredients and toppings were organic and soo fresh. This was love at first bite. Their beer selection is amazing as well. Highly recommend this place to anyone who has taste buds.

Not too shabby for a frozen pie. Good size and the toppings with the BBQ sauce taste good together. I however could never seem to cook the toppings and the crust well...either the crust was too crispy / done or the toppings were not totally cooked. Maybe it's just me...but this is not a terrible option if looking for a frozen pie.

I was pleasantly surprised that this pizza had good flavor and if cooked per instructions, the crust and cheese were pretty good. A whole frozen pizza however barely fills you up...as this truly is Thin Crust. A good frozen choice.

This has become my go-to frozen pizza. I like the options at Trader Joe's as they seem like a healthier option (well, as healthy as you can get for frozen pizza) than other grocery stores / brands. This is their combo pizza and if cooked right, the crust, toppings and cheese come out to perfection. Great mix of flavors. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a really good frozen pie.
Jay’n Bee Club (10 Aug)

Went in here with mixed expectations...on hand, I heard the pizza here is great...and then on the other hand, this is a bar first, and then pizza / restaurant 2nd. Jay'n Bee Club is clearly a bar...but it looks like they take pride in their pizza as at all the tables in the bar...they provide silverware, napkins and pizza condiments regardless if you order food or not. Got the margherita pizza. Crust cooked to perfection, decent sized pizza (could have had a larger pie), great crust and good cheese coverage. This will never be my go to pizza place...but if you want to hang with friends, have some great beers at a dive bar and have some amazing pie (especially since served at a dive bar), Jay'n Bee Club should be your next pizza / booze destination.
