Tricycle Pizza (13 Oct)

This place is super cool - the pizza "shop" is located on an old gas station property converted...but they cook the pizza's out of a converted dump truck...now all glass on the outside, a huge brick oven inside. Seating inside and outside the area. Super unique and a must try for pizza lovers if in the area. We got the BBQ chicken pizza and the margherita. Both great. Fun for family and large groups too. Oh, they also have bocce courts and corn hole to play for anyone who is up for more than just great pizza.

Place has been around and family owned since 1985. The place is cool and old skool inside, but the pizza leaves something to be desired. Chewy crust, but the sauce and pepperoni was great - got a small pepperoni pizza. Good tap selection.
Boca Pizzeria ( 6 Sep)
  • Currently 2.0/5 Stars.
We were excited to try Boca as we heard about this place from a friend. We were however, under-whelmed by the pizza. The crust was tough and the sauce was decent. We got the margherita, but wasn't that good. We will come here again, but will be trying something other than the pizza next time.
Cafe Reyes ( 6 Sep)

Wow! We came across this wonderful gem driving from our place to Stinson Beach - Point Reyes in a great stop or destination. We didn't know what to expect as this is a small town, but Cafe Reyes was not a disappointment in the least. We got the Farallon pizza and a margherita. Both were amazing. The crust was the stand out feature...but the sauce and fresh ingredients (they grow their veggies and herbs on site) were not to be over looked either. One of the better pizza's we have had in some time.

Got delivery from here as one of the few pizza places that delivers to us in San Anselmo. Was decent at best. The crust was the best part of the pie. Sauce was ok and the cheese left a lot to be desired. We also got the pasta and was almost inedible.
Pizzalina ( 4 Aug)

Wow! I was blown away as I heard this place is good, but better than expected. The margherita was cooked to perfection. Fresh ingredients and amazing sauce. The crust was almost great. Small inside and not a ton of seats inside, but there is great outdoor seating. Looking forward to going back and trying other pies.
Cucina SA (19 Jul)

Seeing as we moved here recently, we've been trying all the restaurants and this one is a stand out restaurant for all their food. This is the same owners as Jason / Fillmore in SF, so you know it's gotta be good! We got the margheria pizza and really liked it. A little small, but great fresh ingredients and the sauce was very good. Great salads as well. Looking forward to going back and trying new pizza's.
Delarosa (13 May)

Hard to believe it took me this long to check this pizza institution out as I've heard so much about it over the years. But I finally ventured in and loved it. I ordered the classic margherita pizza (but added anchovies). It was great! The sauce and mozz were perfect. My only complaint was I found the crust to be a little too crispy / over cooked. Other than that, it was an amazing pie. Cool atmosphere, good tap selection and people around me seemed to be ordering the pasta dishes...next time we check this place out, pasta will also be ordered...but I will be getting another pie here soon!

Ehhh, I tried this frozen pizza yesterday cause wanted to try something new and different. It's different alright...and not in a good way. Crust cooked well as did the cheese. But there really wasn't much flavor. I'll stick to CPK or other well known brands going forward
Stone and Embers (29 Feb)

Heading north to Mendocino with the parents and we stopped off here as we were hungry. Did not know what to expect as kind of in the middle of nowhere - right off the highway between farm land and vineyards. Ordered the margherita pizza. WOW! It was amazing! Crust perfectly cooked, the sauce was absolutely amazing and the mozz cheese was great. A perfect lunch - not too large of a pizza, but not too small. Good for 1 person (1 pie per person). I highly suggest stopping here if in the area...I know we will be back!
