Will Tuttle has rated 34 pizzas:
I ate at the Cybelle's that used to be on Parnassus, and I spent the whole evening puking. I wish I was kidding.
Awesome calzones, mediocre pizza.
I remember when this place was considered upscale, but now it feels like just another chain. Still, it's pretty good, although you might do just as well to get frozen CPK pizzas at the grocery store.
I really liked the pizza here, although it was way too loud to carry on an intimate conversation. The service wasn't very good either, the waitress seemed like she was pissed off the whole time we were there. It's one of those places that you'd really expect to be better.
I really like some of their stuff, especially the Ragin' Rooster and the, um, one with sliced tomatoes and basil. The delivery usually comes pretty quickly, although I did have to call them once to find out where my pizza was.
A good alternative to Zante's in the Mission, especially if you live out by the ocean. Way too many red onions on the indian pizza for my tastes.
If you're a fan of Indian pizza (eat it, oregano, it's curry's time to shine!), you'll love this place. It's not as good as it used to be (when it was on 16th and Mission), but you could do a lot worse.
I've driven back into the city during my lunch break to go to this place, and I know a lot of SF natives that are big fans. It's not flashy or anything, but that's not always what you want. I'm not a huge fan of pizzas with too much sauce, but I actually really like the flavor of the sauce here.
For those nights when the wait at Little Star is just too long, Fly is a surprisingly good option. The only real challenge is getting a table, as it it can get pretty packed early in the evening. The pies are pretty solid, and seem to be made of fresh, quality ingredients.
I've only ever had delivery from this place (usually at Greg's), and I've never really been that impressed. You'll have to wait a while, and the payoff just isn't worth it. Maybe it's better when it's fresh...
